Carinthia is Austria\'s southern most province, bordering Italy and Slovenia and little known to British visitors. It offers spectacular mountain scenery with no fewer than 200 lakes, warm for swimming and as clean as drinking water. A wide range of golf, walking, cycling and other more adventurous pursuits await you all year round. It is the ideal location for family holidays as well as for couples and groups of friends. A warm welcome is guaranteed by the local people who invite you to join in their many local traditions and festivals. Carinthia has a continental climate with the highest sun index in Austria with temperatures rivalling the Mediterranean. In winter there is lots of snow and sunshine and Skiing is guaranteed in the nearby Nassfeld ski arena from mid December until April. Spring and Autumn are perfect for walking or cycling holidays. Within 1 hours drive you can visit Italy, Slovenia and many beautiful lakes, mountains and delightful historic towns. In around 2 hours you can be in Venice, Ljubliana, Salzburg, Graz, Triest and even Vienna is possible for a day trip..... In short the perfect holiday location all year round.
Weissbriach is in a beautiful part of Austria and offers relaxed swimming in warm lakes and picturesque mountain scenery in summer as well as an excellent range of walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits such as rafting, climbing etc. In winter, the region offers top class skiing at the nearby Nassfeld Ski arena with over 30 state of the art lifts, guaranteed snow and over 100kms of excellent piste and unlike some other resorts is uncrowded and unpretentious. The ski bus can collect you from the village (takes approx 20mins) There is also a smaller family ski area right on the doorstep in Weissbriach itself which is ideal for families and beginners. hire and instruction are available at reasonable prices. Within 10 minutes drive is the Weissensee lake which is the largest natural ice skating arena in Europe. It also offers a wealth of other winter activities such as sleigh rides, snow golf, tobogganing. The village of Weissbriach and the surrounding areas are very pretty with wonderful mountain views, extensive walking opportunities, mountain huts and delightful restaurants. There are a wealth of activities available for children: horse riding, toboganning, tennis, mini golf, lake and pool swimming, mountain biking, rafting. In the village (3 mins walk) there are a number of hotels, restaurants, a supermarket, bank, tourist information office, hairdresser, outdoor swimming pool with slide. The nearby hotlel offers indoor swimming and therapeutic treatments at reasonable cost.

Each apartment has its own south facing balcony or terrace with mountain views and outdoor furniture. The apartments have 1 or 2 bedrooms & bathrooms, a bed settee in the lounge and fully equipped kitchens and satellite TV (German & Austrian channels). There is a delightful garden with seating areas, BBQ and a children\'s play area, . The apartments are in a typical pretty Austrian village called Weissbriach which is 20mins from the extensive Nassfeld ski area and the Weissensee lake which has fantastic winter and summer activities. Weissbriach has everything you need for a wonderful family or group holiday including an outdoor swimming pool and its own small family ski area, which is ideal for learning to ski. Weissbriach also has a selection of shops and bars/restaurants. The Carinthia area is spectacular yet unspoilt and offers wonderful walking, cycling, sailing and more adventurous pursuits. The property, which is British owned, provides a high standard of accommodation and a warm welcome.
