Ñuñoa (from Mapudungun Ñuñohue, "place of yellow flowers") is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region. Its inhabitants are primarily an established middle class, with some residents making up a part of the upper-middle class.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Ñuñoa boasts bustling public and private sector businesses and a public transportation system capable of reaching all parts of the municipality. Most of Ñuñoa's commercial activity is localized along the Irarrázaval Avenue, a 6-km road that runs across the entire municipality from east to west, and centered in Plaza Ñuñoa, an area colloquially known as "Ñuñork" (portmanteau of "Ñuñoa" and "New York") for its bohemian night life. Ñuñoa is also home to Chile’s largest football stadium and to Santiago’s only mosque.
Ñuñoa has been chosen in 2007, for the third consecutive year, as the municipality with the highest living standard of Santiago. Being the oldest commune of the traditional east part of Santiago, it has known to assimilate all the benefits of a great city (Metro, banks, Shopping mall, etc) without sacrificing its character as a traditional and residential commune. Recently, the municipality's many attractions and convenient location have led to an increased desire by young urban professionals to live there. The natural commercial response has been to purchase properties on which to erect multiple-unit buildings, thus triggering criticism from long-time residents.

Ski
The ski season is usually from June and ends in October. It is considered a priveledged place, due to its beautifull landscape and the possibility to ski on excellent slopes in ski centres that count with the best infrastructure and facilities like: food, ski school and night activities among other services.
There are 4 skicentres around Santiago, La Parva which is 41 km away and is specialy for snowboard and heliski, El Colorado which is 39 km frm Santiago and offers restaurants and entertainment as well, Valle Nevado which is 60 km from Santiago and the most modern centre of the region, like snow park and the half pipe. Also heliski and heliboarding is possible as is snowboarding, paragliding and snowmobiles. Prices for adults are around 45US to 50 US a day.
Skiing in Santiago is different, people drive up the resort of choice in the morning and come down in the evening. At the apartment they get ready to enjoy the nightlife in centre or Providencia or Plaza Nunoa. Come and try!
Wine Tasting
There are more then 20 vine yards around Santiago. The closest to the apartment is Cousino Macul which is short trip with the metro. Here you get a tour and to taste the wine in your own glass. Of course you can buy the wines you like at discount prices afterwards.
