Travel
The villa is about a 20 minute drive from Paphos airport and about an hour from Larnaca international airport, both of which are served by a wide range of airlines from most European countries as well as the Middle East.
There are taxi services from both airports so a car is not required. However, as there are many interesting sites and beaches within easy driving distance from the villa, it is recommended that guests hire a car for some or all of their stay so they can fully enjoy all the amenities a holiday in Cyprus can offer. There are a number of national car hire companies as well as two local car rental companies located in Pissouri Bay itself, which offer daily and multi-day rentals according to guests' requirements.
Distances
The villa is 300 metres from local shops and restaurants, and about 4 km from Pissouri village with a wide range of shops and restaurants, as well as a hilltop amphitheatre with a range of musical and other events during the season. A wide range of antiquities, including the amphitheatre and ruins at Curium and the Tomb of the Kings in Paphos. There are two water parks in Paphos and Limassol, each about 30 minutes drive from the villa, with queues a fraction of the length of comparable parks in Spain, France and other Mediterranean resorts.
Further details
There are 14 restaurants within walking distance of the villa, as well as the facilities of the 5 star Columbia Beach Resort and Hotel. There are several well equipped supermarkets in the village, together with other shops and a bank. There are a couple of boutiques in the bay village as well as Pissouri village, selling a range of clothing and other souvenirs. Paphos and Limassol, with their extensive range of shops and facilities, are each about 30 minutes drive from the villa.
Booking notes
Reservations can be made directly with the villa owner - a 30% deposit is required to confirm a reservation and the balance is due for payment 8 weeks prior to arrival. All amounts paid are non-refundable and non-cancellable, so it is recommended that guests take out travel insurance in the event that they may need to cancel their visit.
Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible, depending on bookings taken.
Golf
There are two championship golf courses within a 10-15 minute drive through scenic coastal road - the renowned Aphrodite Hills course and Secret Valley.
Fishing
It is possible to charter boats for fishing from shops in the local village.
Scuba Diving
There are two scuba diving shops/schools in the local village, offering a range of diving opportunities to various parts of the island.
Beach
There is a 2km long Blue Flag beach within 5-7 minutes walk from the villa. Even in the height of the season, the unspoiled beach is not busy - unlike many other beaches in Paphos and Limassol, it is always possible to find a lounger or a quiet spot away from other holiday makers. For those visitors who want a more active beach experience, a range of sail boats, windsurfers, pedalos, jetskis and waterskiing is available for hire from a beach concession.
Ski
During January to March, it is possible to ski in the Troodos mountains, a mere 45 minute drive from the villa - so you can ski in the morning and swim in the afternoon in the turquoise waters of Pissouri Bay.
Wine Tasting
There are a number of wineries within easy driving distance of the villa, and Pissouri Bay itself is nestled at the end of a valley filled with extensive vineyards.
Accessibility
There are 20 steps down from the carport to the front of the property.
Outside
The villa has an extra-large private 13m by 4m pool set in a substantial landscaped garden and paved patio area, filled with a wide variety of local plants, trees and flowers. Guests can enjoy a hot or cold outdoor shower, and relax with a sun-downer in the grassy upper garden, away from the pool activities.
