This cottage was heavily up-graded following purchase by the present owners in 2002. It is three bedroomed, each bedroom having a spacious en-suite and is between 500 & 700 years old. The original cruck beams are exposed! The spacious living room is heavily beamed (although not as old as the cottage itself), and has an Inglenook fireplace with imposing dressed stone surround, mullioned windows and walls well over two feet thick. Without doubt this is a most relaxing room. There are four televisions (one in the living room and one in each bedroom!), video, DVD, two radios and CD player, but who needs these - whether in summer of winter, just sit in the leather settees and soak in your historical surroundings.
The cottage benefits from fully controllable central heating,
The kitchen is top of the range, with gorgeous real granite sinks, gloss worktops, and of course with all necessary appliances, including fridge freezer, dish-washer, washing machine and micro-wave and is adjacent to the open plan beamed dining area.
There is some limited outdoor seating area both at the front and the back of the property with flower borders. Most importantly housekeeping is our highest priority. In each cottage there are seven (!) personalised highly organised information folders, much praised, enabling guests to make the most of their stay. Weekly events lists are supplied between May and September.
