The Orchard @ La Garenne offers a 2 and 3 bedroom modern, fully equipped static caravan and lots of space to relax or play. Each property has a private pool and barbecue. Fishing is available and country walks or cycling are ideal ways to explore the area. There are only three properties on the 15 acres (the two caravans and a house occupied by us).
The 2 bedroom comfortably accommodates 7 and the 3 bedroom sleeps 8.
The holiday homes are separate from the main house and so peace and privacy is not compromised.
Each have their own barbecue, garden furniture and above the ground pool.
Both are surrounded by views of the surrounding country side. They have plenty of room to play and relax and are situated to overlook the lake. There is a safe play area for the children close by.
The 2 bedroom has a double bed, 3 single beds and a convertable bed in the lounge. The 3 bedroom has a double bed and 2 twin rooms and a convertable bed in the lounge. Both have modern fitted kitchen with fridge freezer and microwave and the bathroom is equipped with walk in shower. The lounge has double doors that lead outside.
We are just south of Limoges near Lubersac & Pompadour in a small village called Saint Julien le Vendomois
The area is full of natural beauty and traditional villages which makes it the perfect place to explore on foot, horse back or mountain bike. Sessions can be arranged at the local trekking centre.
With it's miles of lakes, woodlands and gorges you can take part in activities such as canoeing, wind surfing, white water rafting and climbing. Or try out your skills at the adventure playgrounds.
There is karting and golf in the area and water parks offer cool fun for all the family!
For the 'shopaholics' amongst you there are traditional markets where you can buy local wares & fresh food. There are hypermarkets for those who prefer pre-packed and many places to buy haute couture for the designer label driven.
The medieval village of Segur - le - chateau is 5 minutes away, where you can eat and drink and enjoy outdoor classical concerts during the summer evenings
The racecourse at Pompadour is again only 5 minutes away - a great way to spend the day - race meetings most weekends during the summer. There are also showjumping, cross country, dressage & 3 day events at the equestrian centre in Pompadour. The Haras is the national stud and the training ground for the French Olympic team. Why not combine your holiday with one of the events?
