The village of Treignac is about 2 kms. away with local shops, banks, bars and restaurants. There is also a supermarket with petrol station.
'Le Cantou' is a superb gastronomic auberge in the small village of Affieux, the commune to which Baleme belongs. If you've promised yourself a 'real' french meal while you are here - this is the place to go!
Booking notes
Booking is confirmed with a 30% deposit, the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
A security/damage deposit is required of 150 euros. This will be returned after inspection - within 14 days.
Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday, although we can be more flexible outside the main season.
Arrival is after 4pm and departure by 10am.
Fishing
There is a small fishing lake 5 mins. away by car (or a 20 minute walk across the fields and through the woods). Daily/weekly permits available.
River fishing 5 mins. from the house in Treignac. Daily/weekly permits available.
Beach
Although not on the coast the beach at the lake at Treignac is superb - see the photo gallery!
Accessibility
The property is accessed up a few steps at the front door but there are also steps internally: 5 down to the kitchen and master bedroom and then a standard staircase up to the other bedrooms and bathroom.
Outside
The large garden has garden furniture and a barbecue for your use.
