La Chardière is situated a short pleasant walk from the centre of Gathemo. Here you will find a bar/tabac where you can meet the locals. The Boulangerie, situated just opposite, provides fresh bread each day and a very tempting selection of cakes and pastries!
A short drive away is Lac de la Dathee, with beautiful views over Vire and has something for everyone. There is a sailing school, wind-surfing and fishing. Walks around the lake are perfect for picnics and summer relaxation. Overlooking the lake is the 9 hole golf course of the Golf de Vire complete with driving and practice range. A 4x4 drive centre and several equestrian centres are nearby.
Day trips within easy reach include the medieval town of Domfront, gothic spires of Le Mont St Michel, the historic D-Day landing beaches, the thermal spa town of Bagnoles De L'orne and the famous Bayeux tapestry.

All rooms have tea and coffee making facilites, complementary snacks and fruit. A fan is available for the warmer weather.
Family suite sleeping up to 6 with a TV lounge including choice of videos, DVDs and CDs. Our small library is available for those more relaxing moments.
