Toulon/Hyeres airport is an hour and a half's drive, Nice airport is an hour and three quarters, Marseille airport is an hour and three quarters drive. A car is essential.
Distances
The house is in a small hamlet. It is two kilometres from nearest village, where there is a bakery, three restaurants, sailing club, tennis courts, boules pitch and a general store.
Eight kilometres from Aups, where there are supermarkets, banks, chemists etc

Other places to visit include the Gorges du Verdon, France's Grand Canyon, which has spectacular walks, canyoning or canoeing.
It is less than half an hour to lavender fields and many mediaeval villages.
Booking notes
To confirm a reservation, you have to pay 30%. The rest is payable six weeks before departure. Two weeks before a damage deposit of £100 is payable.
House swap
House swap considered, would need accommodation for two to four people.
Changeover day
Saturday changeover in season, otherwise flexible, arrival time 4pm, check out 11am.
Fishing
Five minutes drive from large fresh water lake, 12 km long. Good fishing opportunities.
Wine Tasting
Within half an hour's drive there are a number of places to taste wine including Chateau de Berne and the vineyards near Cotignac.
Accessibility
Bedrooms, utility room and one bathroom are downstairs but living room and kitchen are upstairs. Stairs turn on a bend, so not very suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
Large terraces on both storeys with gas barbecue and outdoor furniture. Garden on three levels, fruit trees, roses, honeysuckle, rockery. Total area 1200 square metres. Hammock, shaded areas, privacy. Garden leads down to wooded area.
