Ski
Much has been spent, in the last few years, on making various pistes more user friendly - especially for beginners. They are now gently graded and wider, backed up with 2 km of snow cannons which together with the piste grooming machines, produce a perfect, smooth piste irrespective of natural snow fall. A modern 8-seater gondola and an express chairlift speeds you to the top of Tougnette (2434m) meeting the 6-seater out of Meribel. From here there is a choice of runs ranging from blue to black into the vast les trois vallees circuit. There are some excellent off piste runs back into St Martin as well. St Martin has several hire shops stocking the latest equipment and ESF ski school operates from the village.
