St. Jean d’Aulps is one of the most accessible resorts in the French Alps, taking just over 1 hour from Geneva airport. You choose which airport you fly from and at what time. Let us know if you require help with transport to/from the chalet.
By Road
About 600miles from Calais, it takes 8-9 hours to drive to St. Jean d’Aulps. Motorway A40 to Geneva Chamonix exit Annemasse, then N5 to Thonon and D902 to resort.
We email detailed directions for you within the resort.
There are good connections to railway stations at Thonon (30 mins away) and Cluses (40 mins). Look at www.sncf.com to get times and prices. We can have you picked up from these train stations if you provide the details when booking.

Ski
The Portes du Soleil has an excellent snow record with lots of everything for everyone; from the very gentlest of beginners runs (just 5 minutes from the chalet here in St Jean d'Aulps) to world cup downhill courses and the infamous 'Wall' in Les Crosets. In addition to the 650km of piste, there are board parks, half-pipes, plenty of off-piste and numerous bars/restaurants to keep you going!
As soon as possible after arrival at Chalet Shufu we take you to get skiing or snowboarding equipment at a hire-shop with good gear at very competitive rates, see www.skiflash.fr
An English-speaking Instructor visits the chalet on your arrival evening to discuss lessons whenever necessary.
Every morning our minibus sets out to whichever lift you’d like to start from and picks you up again at either a pre-arranged time or upon a call from your mobile.
Then it’s back to the chalet; warmth - drinks - comfort - conviviality and fabulous food!
