Baabe consists of 2 parts. The former fishing village has a natural marina from where regular ferry boats leave for Moritzdorf and the island of Vilm. The newer part with wide tree-lined avenues is directly behind the dunes. The steam locomotive Rasender Roland offers trips to Binz, Putbus or castle Granitz and is in the centre. There is also an attractive spa park with a music pavilion and beach promenade.
