The house is situated at the edge of the forest where, due to the location, it is absolutely ideal for hiking. The beautiful landscape invites you to take part in all kinds of sports activities, including Nordic-Walking (routes from 5 - 15 km long), which is a real hit at the moment! The same routes are also free of charge for cross-country skiing in the winter. One kilometre from the house is a quiet ski lift (around 200 m long). In addition, courses are offered by trained Nordic Walking guides.

This region has well-marked hiking routes for those who love to hike (for example, the Rothaarsteig). A few other suggestions are: the Medebach Free Life Park with a subtropical swimming paradise (11 km away), the open-air Hallenberg theatre (6 km away), the Bike Arena and the Winterberg sports area (23 km away), the Willingen winter sports area (around 35 km), the Edersee (around 25 km), and more. A visit to Frankenberg and Korbach in Hessen with its beautiful buildings is certainly recommended.
