More possibilities for shopping 13 km. Glückstadt 55 km. Flensburg 120 km. Kiel 120 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Hamburg (HAM) 110 km, Bremen (BRE) 220 km. The family and North Sea spa bath Friedrichskoog is located right on the national park Schleswig-Holsteinisches Wattenmeer. The peninsula was only wrenched from the sea via dikes 150 years ago. Centre is the picturesque harbour with the largest shrimping fleet on the Schleswig-Holstein coast. Recommended visit to seal and protection centre Wattenmeer. 4 km long lawned beach in Spitze with naturist and dog area. Excursions to Schleswig (30 km) with Viking museum, to Marne (13 km) and to Heide and Buesum.
