Villa Collecimino is about 45 minutes' drive from Abruzzo's traveller-friendly International Airport in Pescara and 2.5 hours from Rome. You can walk/ski (depending on the time of year!) in the mountains in the morning, and swim and sunbathe on the sandy Adriatic beaches in the afternoon. Or explore the historic towns and villages, such as Penne, Montefino, Castilenti, Castiglione Messer Raimondo, sail from Pescara's award-winning marina, take the ferry to the beautiful Tremiti Islands or even to Croatia, or just enjoy a glass of Montepulciano d' Abruzzo while watching the constantly changing mountain views.

Villa Collecimino is a spacious holiday property, with 3 apartments, located in 3.5 acres of orchards, olive groves and agricultural land, in the hamlet of San Giorgio, on top of Collecimino hill 550 metres above sea-level, with stunning panoramic views of Abruzzo's Gran Sasso and Maiella mountain ranges, and, to the north-east, the Adriatic Sea. It is 3 minutes' walk from a small supermarket and bar, 5 minutes' walk from an 'agriturismo' offering delicious meals from home-grown produce, 10 minutes' drive from the village of Cesi, which has a large supermarket, a pizzeria, a bar and a range of shops, and a short drive from many other restaurants and two medieval hilltop towns.
Each apartment has balconies/terraces big enough for dining/relaxing/sunbathing or for just enjoying the beautiful views of Abruzzo. We are ideally placed for both the Adriatic coast and the mountains, being only 30 minutes' drive from each.

We have a 'No smoking' policy at Villa Collecimino - we would ask guests not to smoke inside the apartments, but just in the garden or on the terraces.

Distances
Our nearest towns (both beautiful medieval hilltop towns) are Castiglione Messer Raimondo (10 minute drive) and Penne (15 minute drive). We are just 30 minutes from the beaches and 40 minutes from the mountains and 20 minutes from the National Parks.

Beach
The sandy beaches of the Adriatic are just 30-40 minutes from our villa. Abruzzo has a very long coast line of pine-fringed, clean, sandy beaches that stretch for more than 15 miles. The shallow, warm waters of the Adriatic are ideal for safe family bathing.
Ski
There is a variety of winter sports available between November and April. Campo Imperatore in the Gran Sasso mountains has a modern funicular, 4 ski lifts and 8 ski runs.
Also close by is the Monte Cristo facility with 4 ski lifts and 10 ski runs. Other winter sports such as sledging, cross-country skiing, or mountain climbing are also available.
Wine Tasting
We have an award winning wine producer just 10 minutes drive from our villa.
Accessibility
Apartment 1 is suitable for people with mobility problems as it is on the ground floor with just one small step into the property.
Outside
Villa Collecimino stands in 3.5 acres of orchards, olive groves and agricultural land and also has a garden area.
All aparments have outdoor furniture on their terraces. The main garden has our Scandinavian Plunge Pool (6 x 4 m) and a BBQ for all guests to use.
