Lunigiana is ideal for walking and steeped in history, being on the pilgrims route to Rome, with Roman chuches, Malaspina castles and medieval villages in abundance. The house is within easy reach of charming resorts and golden sandy beaches on the Med and in the other direction the towering peaks of the Appenines and Apuane Alps. In these mountain Michelangelo extracted marble for his great statues in Florence, which is about 2 hours away. Pisa, Parma and Genoa airports are all within just over an hour, with regular flights from UK airports.

Casa Brindi is in a small hamlet a couple of minutes up the hill from Bagnone, one of the unsploit "Gems" of Lunigiana. The house is well equipped with everything you need for your holiday. The house has central heating and a washing machine as well as a full sized table tennis table, TV and DVD player.

Type	Description
Bedrooms:	Bedroom 1 with Double Bed; Bedroom 2 with two full sized single beds. folding beds in additional rooms on the ground floor.
Bathrooms:	Bathroom 1 with shower, WC and washing machine; Bedroom 2 with shower, WC and bidet.
Kitchen:	Gas hob; Electric full size oven; fridge freezer; plenty of pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, glasses etc. Table with 4 chairs (additional chairs available)
Living Rooms:	Settee and three easy chairs; TV, DVD player and CD player. Selection of DVDs and books
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service:	Bed linen and towels provided. This is only the second year so everything is nice and new! The house is cleaned for your arrival, beds made up etc. For longer stays bed linen is changed for each week.
Utility room:	There are three rooms in the downstairs converted Cantina. Light and airy with CO2 detector and fire escape windows to the garden. The boiler is in the downstairs and also the table tennis room.
Sleeping capacity:	1 Double; 2 Single; 2 sturdy folding beds (Ikea)

Notes on accommodation:
The house is bright and airy and recently renovated. However there are stone stairs (no steeper than standard stairs in the UK, if that) and although there are handrails, is not suitable for the very young and old and infirm.

Travel
Pisa, Genoa and Parma all just over 1 hour from the house. Railway station within 10 minutes with connections to all major destination. 30 minutes from the autostrada.

Distances
Bagnone 2 mins by car, 10 on foot. Villafranca 10 mins by car. Pontremoli 20 mins by car. Lerici and the Cinque Terre 45 mins - 1 hour. Pisa/Genoa just over an hour. Florence 2 hours. Milan 3 hours.

Further details
Bagnone has plenty of shops, bars, 2 pizzerias and a restaurant. Supermarkets at Villafranca (10 mins) and Aulla (20 mins). Lots of restaurants in Pontremoli and many others in the surrounding towns and villages providing traditional Lunigiana dishes. We have an English speaking local key holder.

Changeover day
Normally Saturday start, but try us we're flexible as we realise flights can be a problem. Ideal arrival between 1 and 4, departure by 11, but again if you've got a problem arriving then please tell us and we'll do our best.

Beach
45 mins by car. Beautiful golden sandy beaches of the Italian riviera.

Ski
3 small ski resorts with an hour by car.

Probably if you can find it!

Accessibility
Not suitable for babies or the old and infirm. Parking immediately outside with direct access to the street.
