Travel
Nearest airport is at Perugia (15 minutes) with regular Ryanair flights from Stansted.
Car hire (available at the airport or Perugia railway station) is essential if you want to visit the wonderful places in Umbria.
Distances
We are close to Todi (20 minutes), Perugia (20 minutes), Assisi (30 minutes) and many other beautiful towns and villages. Rome (90 minutes) and Florence (90 minutes).
Further details
There are several excellent restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes drive. Bar (1 minute) Supermarket (3 minutes). The market town of Marsciano (10 minutes) has a wide range of shops and services.
Booking notes
We require a 30% deposit to secure your booking, payable by bank transfer, with the balance paid at least three weeks prior to arrival. Late bookings accepted subject to availability.
Changeover day
As this is B&B we have no changeover day or minimum period of stay.
Golf
There is a golf driving range at the bottom of the road. 2 mintues drive. Full golf course at Perugia. 30 minutes drive.
Fishing
There is a small fishing lake at the bottom of the road. 2 minutes drive.
Beach
Although Umbria is land-locked there are several very pleasant beaches around Lake Trasimeno and on its islands. 30 minutes drive.
Wine Tasting
There is an endless choice of vineyards in the area where you can taste the wines and buy them.
Accessibility
All our accommodation is on the first and second floors so the house is not suitable for those who have difficulty climbing stairs.
Outside
We have a panoramic roof terrace with glorious views over the Tiber Valley. A spiral staircase leads down to the landscaped gardens and swimming pool. The pool is 1.2 metres deep and 6 metres diameter with a small stepped bay in one side for easy access. There is a sunbathing terrace around one side of the pool with a dining terrace above that. We also have outdoor table tennis and boules. There is a tennis court at our village community centre just 1 minute away. But, best of all, the owner has built a huge digital slot car track in the stables of the house and you can race up to six cars at a time.
