The generous garden surrounding the house has a patio with outdoor dining table and BBQ. The private swimming pool and tennis court are set on terraces below the garden. The spacious house has a very large kitchen and dining room and two other reception rooms. There is a small shop and bar in Spedalicchio and a large Co-op supermarket in nearby Umbertide, which also has cafes, restaurants, internet cafe and travelling fruit, veg and clothing market.
It is a perfect centre for a holiday as it is within easy reach of the underrated city of Perugia (with escalators going up through the walls), Assissi, Sienna, Cortona and the frescoes of Sansepulcro and Arretzo. For non-drivers there is a train service from Sansepulcro to Perugia that runs through Umbertide. Florence and Rome are best reached by the express train that stops at Terontola.
Lake Trasimeno is about 25 minutes away and has a beach with sun shades, pedaloes resatuarant, ice creams and small amusement arcade. An island in the middle can be reached by steamer.
The gardener/pool cleaner, cleaner and house manager are all native English speakers. and will help weith advice about restaurants to visit or any problems. There is a house book with recommendations of places to visit.
