Auckland Domestic and International airports within 30 minutes. Car hire available at the airport and is recommended. Airport Shuttle also available at the airport. Tours of the Waitakere Area can be arranged if required.

Titirangi Village is a few minutes walk. Henderson is 15 minutes by car, New Lynn 10 minutes by car, Auckland City 20-30 minutes by car.

Auckland City offers a museum where you can also experience Maori music and dance, there are several art galleries, boutique shopping, movie cinemas, and SkyCity casino. There is a wonderful zoo on 20 minutes from "The Ferns"

Changeover day
There is a minimum stay of 5 nights required for bookings made more than two weeks in advance. Shorter stays are subject to availability if enquiry made close to arrival date.

Seasonal (June/July/August) 5 hours drive south to Mt. Ruhapehu or fly to South Island.

Accessibility
Foru steps up to the patio and front door. Parking for two cars beside The Chalet- one can be under cover.
Outside
Tree lined driveway up to The Chalet. Surrounded by rainforest. There is no outdoor play area for children. The park opposite has a steep winding trail down to the harbour and there is a track close by which leads up to the village .(a few minutes walk)
