The cottage comfortably sleeps six, in one double and two twin rooms. There is a warm sitting room with wood burning stove, and a brand new large kitchen/dining room with doors out to the garden and views over the open farmland. Recently renovated, every effort has been made to make this a comfortable and homely place to stay for both families and for groups of friends.

Bedrooms:	There are three bedrooms, one double and two twins
Kitchen:	Although the kitchen was fitted at the end of 2007, it retains a country feel to it, and is bright and spacious. There is seating for 6-8 around the kitchen table. All the equipment you would expect is provided, including a selection of cookery books. It is a lovely place to prepare and share a meal, or simply read the paper, or gaze out over the fields....
Living Rooms:	The sitting room is warm and comfortable with seating for six on two sofas. There is a log burning stove for that cosy feeling (although the cottage is warm enough with the central heating). For entertainment, there is a television, dvd player and video recorder (and a selection of videos and dvds), as well as a radio/cd player, games and a good choice of books.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service:	Linen and towels are provided, and included in the rental rate, and beds made up for your arrival
Sleeping capacity:	3 bedroomed sleeps 6

Travel
The Beeches is located two miles south of Gatehouse of Fleet, on the Galloway coast. Girthon is a small hamlet a short drive from the A75.

Distances
A more leisurely visit or two to the nearby towns of Kirkcudbright (the “Artists' Town”) and Castle Douglas (the “Food Town”) is strongly recommended, as well as many other attractions, including some lovely gardens to visit locally, including Cally Gardens (walking distance), Threave, Castle Kennedy, Woodfall and the Logan Royal Botanic Garden

Further details
Approximately one mile from the cottage, is the Cream O' Galloway visitor centre, with indoor playbarn, adventure playground and cycle routes, and the finest ice cream in the land!

Golf
There is a 9 hole course in Gatehouse and an 18 hole championship course 5 miles away in Borgue. Southerness is one of Scotland's finest golf courses and is only 30 miles away.

The garden is enclosed, and safe for small children. Moreover, The Beeches is located on a private road, with little traffic, adding to the feeling of tranquillity and safety.
