Dumfries and Galloway is the gateway to Scotland, just over the border from England at Gretna Green. Glasgow and Edinburgh are only two hours drive away. Its so easy to reach and so difficult to leave!
Abbotsway Cottage is a very popular choice for smaller parties and couples looking for privacy and a peaceful haven. The cottage is also ideal for families with its excellent games room, private courtyard and large kitchen and dining area.
The cottage comfortably houses 7 people, we have one double bedroom, 1 single bedroom and 1 family room, comprising of 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds.
It is a pleasant walk (or drive) from the cottage to Orrolands private loch and pavilion. Fly fishing for stocked rainbow trout is available in the loch, with use of the rowing boat. The cost is £20 per rod per week. All our guests can enjoy walking in the grounds around the loch, and make use of the large gas BBQ in the pavilion.
The cosy cottage has oil-fired central heating throughout. We also provide a good supply of logs for the open fire in the sitting room.
Coming to Orroland is a unique experience good for the soul. Few places can match it for privacy, atmosphere and dramatic location, set in the heart of one of the last undiscovered areas of the country.
