The flat, which is separate to the main house, has an on suite bathroom which consists of a shower, basin and toilet. The fully equipped kitchen makes life easier, and the quaint braai area is perfect for sundowners after a long day at a beautiful beachfront.
Situated between Margate (5km south) and Shelly Beach (3km north), just a short distance to enjoy the hub of activity on Margate main beachfront during school holidays, or shop and catch a movie at Shelly Centre. Uvongo main beach, set between two rock faces which protects its visitors from any wind, is just 10 minutes walk away from the flat, and has a fishing pier, lagoon tidal pool, childrens swimming pool and fantastic bathing beach.
Within a 130km stretch of coastline you will be awed by the vast variety of art, craft and entertainment. Take you family on a tour and visit a crocodile farm, butterfly farm, bird park, or go abseiling, white water rafting or on a deep sea game drive and spot dolphins and whales up close. For the artist in the family, we have pottery, crafts, photography, country stores and farms stalls all near by, and for the men four of the top 50 golf courses in South Africa. Uvongo, Margate, Ramsgate and Marina beach are all Internationally recognized Blue flag beaches.
Local entertainment and places of interest:
A visit to the Waffle House near Ramsgate is a must. It's nestled in the dunes just off the main beach and serves the most delicious sweet and savoury waffles.
Hire a boat and pedal on the lagoon.
Jump in your car and explore the coastline, as all it's beaches have a unique atmosphere and feel to it. Something for everyone.
Surf at St Michaels, one of the country's best surf spots with its classic right-hand point and beach breaks.
Visit the Uvongo Bird Park and see exotic and indigenous birds in aviaries.
Margate beach has entertainment during school holidays - sandcastle building competitions, beauty competitions, music and so on.
Within an hour's drive from Margate, there are 11 golf courses - including three of South Africas best: Selbourne Park, Wild Coast Sun and San Lameer.
