Type Description
Bedrooms: 2 ground floor rooms with double beds
1 first floor room with twin beds
Bathrooms: 1 ground floor bedroom has en suite shower room with level access shower for wheelchair users.
The other ground floor room has en suite shower room with a low step in shower
The first floor bedroom has an en suite shower room with a shower cubicle.
Kitchen: There is a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, hob, and washing machine
Living Rooms: In the lounge there is satellite TV and a log fire for the winter months
The large dining room has air conditioning
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service: For guests staying for either B&B or half board the rooms are cleaned and towels changed daily: Bed linen is changed weekly.

For guests renting Las Golondrinas for self catering, bedlinen and towels are provided and changed weekly. The accommodation is cleaned before and after the rental.
Other: Together with El Nido it surrounds a traditional Murcian inner courtyard although each house has its own private patio area at the front.

El Nido (the nest)

Bedrooms: Large ground floor room with twin beds, ideal for wheelchair users
Upstairs is a bedroom with double bed and another room with a small single bed.
Bathrooms: The ground floor room has an en suite shower room with level access shower for wheelchair users.
There is a shower room on the first floor.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fitted with a fridge, hob, oven, microwave and washing machine.
Living Rooms: The large lounge has satellite TV, air conditioning and log fire for the winter months. There is a feature spiral staircase leading up to the first floor bedrooms and shower room.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service: For guests staying for either B&B or half board the rooms are cleaned and towels changed daily: Bed linen is changed weekly.

The English owners have their own accommodation within the finca and are on hand to ensure that you have a wonderful, relaxing holiday.Evening meals are served in the poolside dining room where you can enjoy good home cooking with a choice of English, Mediterranean or vegetarian menu.

Travel
Murcia (San Javier) airport is a 45 minute drive. Alicante airport is 90 minutes away. The resident English owners have a minibus for airport transfers and excursions so car hire isn't essential.

Distances
La Pinilla is walking distance (about 3km) a pleasant half hour walk or a 5 minute drive.
Driving times:-
Fuente Alamo, a small market town - 15 minutes
The regional national park of the Sierra Espuñas - 30 minutes
City and port of Cartagena - 30 minutes

Further details
There are 2 bars and a general store in La Pinilla although a baker delivers to the hamlet daily except Sunday and a mobile shop comes twice weekly. Fuente Alamo is quite a good shopping centre and has an excellent market on Saturdays.
Cartagena is one of the oldest cities on the Mediterranean, where you can visit one of the many museums, view the old port from the tourist catamaran, tour the city on the open topped tourist bus or just sit at one of the bars along the front watching the cruise liners coming in.

Booking notes
On making a booking by phone or email, accommodation will be reserved for 7 working days only to allow time for deposit cheques to arrive. A deposit of 20% will be required with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to the holiday.
Payments can now be made by Paypal.

Golf
Hacienda del Alamo (18 hole) and Camposol (18 hole) golf courses are within a 15 minute drive, although Mosa Trajectum Johan Cruyff golf and sports resort and the exclusive La Manga Club are within a half hours drive.

Beach
The beautiful, sandy, blue flag beaches of Puerto de Mazarron are within a half hour drive. It is a lively place with plenty of bars and shops.

Wine Tasting
Murcia has 3 wine growing areas within an easy drive.
Jumilla which has won several awards, Yecla and Bullas.

Accessibility
The guesthouse is fully wheelchair accessible, some rooms have level access showers for wheelchair users.There is also a hoist available for hire if required. The pool and garden area is fully wheelchair accessible as there are no steps and there is a pool hoist. Pat is a qualified nurse and can offer personal assistance for those who need it (prices depend on level of care needed, please discuss your requirements).

Outside
The 8x4m solar heated pool is for the sole use of guests staying within the complex. The pool area has been screened with an insect screen for the comfort of our guests and there is a poolside residents bar and restaurant. Within the garden area is a boules court, sun terraces and shady spots. Barbecue, sun loungers and garden furniture are provided in the pool area.
