Isla Canela lies at the mouth of the Guadiana river which separates Spain from Portugal. Linked by a bridge to the mainland it is a modern purpose built resort which designed to offer all the facilities you would need for a great beach holiday. On the island is a golf course and a marina.
The marina is located a leisurely 40 minute stroll down the beach or a 5 minute drive away. At the marina you will find plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes. At the marina you can arrange anything from a days river cruise up the Guadiana to a day trip to the fantastic city of Seville which is a 75 minute drive away.
The Isla Canela golf course is a couple of miles away and the fees are very reasonable. There are several other courses in the local area.
The apartment is in the Los Gavilanes complex, most of the apartments are owned by Spanish who flock to Isla Canela to escape the heat of Madrid and Seville in the height of summer. There are plenty of restaurants and beach bars (chiringuitos) that offer excellent food at reasonable prices.
To make the most of your holiday we recommend that you hire a car. There are many towns to visit in both Spain and Portugal such as Tavira, Alvor and Faro. The nearest airports are Faro and Seville.
Of course we want you to enjoy our apartment and we will go out of our way to assist you with finding the cheapest flights and car rentals. Booking notes
Out of July and August we are flexible on changeover days. No smoking in the apartment please. The resort is suitable for families and couples and not suitable for single sex groups.

From the lounge sliding doors lead to a large terrace which has spectacular views of the beach and ocean. On the terrace there is a table and 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers. There is a griddle on the terrace should you wish to cook outdoors.
