The country inn POSADA DEL RíO is located in Alozaina in the Andalusian province of Malaga, about 45 km ( 45 minutes ) from the capital of the Costa del Sol. Alozaina, whose name means “little fortress” and “healthy and good place”, is a charming “white village” (2500 inhabitants) in the heart of the Sierra de las Nieves.
In 1995 the Sierra de las Nieves was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The area offers our guests many possibilities of organizing their leisure time: You can go on hiking- or biking tours on excellent paths, you can discover the beautiful flora and fauna in different climate zones or you can have a look at archaeological discoveries, some of them dating back to the Stone Age. On request we organize for you: 4x4 ecoroutes, mountain bike, horseriding,canyoning, spelunking, archery etc.
Very close to the village you find "Rio Grande" with possiblity to relax and sunbathing and even swimming in its clear waters.
You can also use the public pool (400m) for free.
You also can go on daily excursions to the famous beaches of Costa del Sol (Marbella, Torremolinos 40 minutes by car) or visit historic monumental cities like Ronda, Malaga (40 km) or Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Jerez de la Frontera (140km )

The family-run POSADA DEL RÍO offers all the comforts of a hotel. Guests enjoy the 11 individually furnished and beautifully decorated rooms. Each has a private bath, TV and telephone, Internet connection and a balcony.
We serve breakfast, regional specialties and international cuisine in our comfortable dining room. Our sitting-room with an open fire-place and our patio with its lush potted plants and mediterranean flair invite our guests to rest and relax after an excursion to the unique nature of Sierra de las Nieves, the nearby beaches of Costa del Sol or to one of the close by historic and monumental cities.

Type	Description
Bedrooms:	We have different cateories of rooms. All rooms are ensuite and equipped with either double beds of 150 cms or twin beds. 9 of the rooms have a balcony overlooking the mountains or the old village, in the superior and comfort rooms we offer aditional beds for children, baby cots can be put also in the standard room.
Bathrooms:	All rooms have their private bathroom with bath or shower, wc, wash basin and some with bidet.
Kitchen:	Breakfast is served from 9 to 11 am, on request we also serve dinner. We do not have a kitchen at your disposal, Familiies with little children get the possiblity to prepare baby's food whenever needed.
Living Rooms:	The superior and comfort rooms have a little seating area. We invite all our guests to use our comfortable sittting room, enjoy the chimnea room in winter and our mediterranean patio equipped with garden furniture in the summer. In all the rooms you have a TV (local channels), in the common area there is a computer with DSL at your diposal and you have got WiFi in the whole building.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service:	We preovide daily rooms cleaning servide. linen and towels are changed regularly and on request. We also have a laundry service and a iron and ironing board at your diposal.
Sleeping capacity:	6 ensuite double rooms and 5 ensuite twin rooms in different categories, 3 aditional beds

Notes on accommodation:
The entire building has central heating for the winter. as it is a historic building we do not have air condition. The old thick walls keep the inside of the building suitable in the summer heat. Nevertheless we have ceiling fans in the rooms facing south.

Travel
35 km to Malaga Pablo Ruis Picasso International Airport and 40 km to the Malaga Main Railway Station.
We have a daily bus service to Malaga downtown (3 times/day) and the TAxi or transfer sevice to the airport and Malga is about 55 Euro. However we recomend the use of a rental car.

Further details
In the vilage you have supermarkets, butcher, bakery, souvenirs, clothing, computers, chemist etc. everything you might need during your vacation you can buy in the village. At 20km distance you also have a shopping center with cinemas, fast food etc.
In walking distance you have tipical spanish tapas bars, restaurants / maisons and two diso pubs (close enough to walk but far enough not to be disturbed by them)

Changeover day
There is no preferred changeover day.
Check out till 12 noon, check in from 1 pm till 8 pm, please inform us about laer arrivals.

in about 25 km distance you find the next golf course and at the Costa del Sol in apr. 45 km distance you have a choice of all the famous golf courses.

Beach
40 km and 45 minutes by car you have the Costa del Sol with its famous beaches like Marbella and Torremolinos.

We have a private mediterranean patio equipped with garden furniture and barbecue. At 400 meters you have the public pool of the village and at 4 km you can go swimming in the river.
