The Extremadura is Spain's last secret, an unspoilt province which has everything to offer, beautiful sceney, very special flora and fauna especially birds for enthusiastic bird watchers. Plenty of water with 2 major rivers flowing through , the Guardiana and the Tagus, huge lakes, mountains and superb cork oak woodland, the dehesa. A delight for walking, hiking and riding. Some of the most historical towns in Spain, where most of the conquistadors were born. History, culture, great music and theatre festivals. But most of all peace and a sense of a more tranquil past.

A world of its own, the cortijo and barn are 2 properties on the same finca but both within their own grounds and very private which can be rented seperately or together. Stunning views over the olive groves and up to the peaks of the mountain, lovely pool in natural setting.

Living Rooms: Furnished with antique and ethnic style, seats for 8 people. video and dvd and cd players
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service: Linen included changed once during a weeks stay, towels when necessary, no pool towels. Cleaning twice a week
Other: A large covered porch with sofa and chairs with good views. Also an open terrace with shade covering , dining table and chairs .
Sleeping capacity: Max. of 6 people in 3 double bedrooms
The barn

Bedrooms: One double bed
Bathrooms: Bathroom with shower, large marble top around the basin
Kitchen: Cooker, hob, fridge, washing machine
Living Rooms: Video, dvd and cd players, very large room with seating and dining table and chairs, french windows to porch.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service: One linen change per week, cleaned twice a week
Other: Large porch with shade and sleeping alcove for summer sleeping, good views.
The barn has its own grounds and entrance, completely private.
Sleeping capacity: one bedroom with possibility of extra bed for child

The finca is in the middle of the triangle of 3 world heritage town, Caceres, Merida and Trujillo, all 40kms Our nearest village is Montanchez famous for jamon production

Further details
Our nearest towns all have a strog cultural programme throughout the year e.g. Merida festival of theatre and dance in July and August, Caceres WOMAD in May.

20% of total price to be paid on booking and the balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival by bank transfer of paypal

Flexible changeover day. Arrival after 2pm, departure by 11a.m.

Caceres golf is 40km. Badajoz golf 80kms

Plenty of lake fishing within 10kms

Outside
The finca is a property of 50 acres on the slopes of the Sierra de Montanchez. It is private and secluded with wonderful views and very peaceful. The pool is shared between the barn and the cortijo but plenty of space and not too near one or the other, exclusive use of pool can be negotiated. It is 12mx 3m. Both houses have their own private entrance and grounds.
