Golf
Phuket is probably Thailand's best destination for wonderful warm-weather golf. The number of courses on the island is growing and they are well maintained and constantly being upgraded. Facilities are excellent.
Phuket Country Club: Preferred by many locals, the Country Club combines a pleasurable 18-hole course with the
toughest nine holes on the island (Par 38). Club facilities include a popular practice range and a huge swimming pool.
Loch Palm Golf Club: The most informal of the clubs on a course that calls for strategic shot-making across
lagoons and hillsides. No place for those who fear water. The stocky palms that give the course its name
have the amazing ability to swallow golf balls at every opportunity.
Laguna Phuket Golf Club: Surrounded by first-class resort hotels and exclusive homes, cosmetic surgery has changed
Laguna's character from a parklands romp to a real test for all golfers. Centrally-placed for all five-star activities.
Blue Canyon Country Club: Two magnificent courses make up the Blue Canyon complex, the Canyon course and the Lakes course. At Blue Canyon, it's not only the course which leaves an impression. The clubhouse offers Thai, Japanese and International cuisine. Blue Canyon was home to the 2007 Johnny Walker Classic
Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa: Phuket's first 21st Century championship course lies on the scenic north-east coast.
A nine-hole night golf course is also close by in the foothills.

Phuket has emerged as the star performer in Thailand’s thriving tourism industry. Beautiful beaches, a warm winter climate and isolated islands are the core attractions that lure millions of tourists from colder climates each year.
Scuba Diving
The Andaman Sea offers dive sites considered to be among the top ten scuba destinations in the world. it boasts crystal clear water, spectacular reefs and rock formations, plus a colourful section of marine life.
Phuket is often referred to as the 'Pearl of the South' and for scuba divers it's certainly the crown jewel of the Andaman Sea; one of the most renowned diving regions in the world. This island paradise lies only 8 degrees north of the equator, enjoying a tropical climate with average water temperature of 24C (78 F) with an unmatched variety of aquatic life. The best time for diving is between October and May between the two monsoons, but good diving is available all year.
Diving centres on Phuket offer day trips, liveaboards and dive courses.
