The Nichols house is situated on three house lots with ample grass, trees and plantings to enjoy from the chaise lounges, picnic table, or benches in the yard.
The location is ideal for day trips to Boston, Plymouth, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Block Island, Providence, Cape Cod, and Connecticut. Maps and brochures are provided on site for your use. One can enjoy active sight seeing, or relax and nestle in with one of our books which are yours for the keeping.
Enjoy the charm and comfort provided by the lodging and daily country fresh breakfasts. It is our intention to continue to provide a place as cozy, accommodating and friendly as it always has been when mom Nichols was welcoming all who came for a visit. Join us for a night, week, or several weeks.

Description of Rooms/Suites:
The 'Eleanor' room has a king size bed, private bath, fireplace, and wide pine floorboards. It is air conditioned and has a feather mattress, air dryad sheets and hand sewn quilt. A radio, alarm clock, telephone and TV with a VCR and selection of videotapes are for your in room enjoyment. The room is airy, with 3 of the original windows from the early 19th century which look out upon the ever changing New England foliage!
The 'Muriel' room has a fireplace and a queen sized antique brass bed and private bath. It is equipped with air conditioning, overhead fan, radio, alarm clock and phone in the room. There are two windows looking into the back and side yards with views of the maple trees. The room is charming with wide pine floorboards, yet comfortable and quiet. The room also has a TV and VCR.
The 'Cameron' room has a double mates bed with a feather mattress and lots of drawers beneath. The sheets are air dryad, and the quilts are hand sewn. It has a large closet and comes with two thick and thirsty terrycloth robes for use by the guests. The full bath including a tub with bathsalts is shared. The room is equipped with a TV, VCR, alarmclock and phone, overhead fan and air-conditioning.
Bathrooms:
The beautiful scallop shell sinks are in the bedroom and glass corner angle showers and toilets are privately located separated for both the Eleanor and Muriel rooms. The Cameron room has a shared (with the manager) full bathroom with full tub and shower.
Kitchen:
The house has two porches. The front porch has candy containers for guests/children's enjoyment. The side porch has summer dishware, table/chairs, guest refrigerator and microwave oven.
Living Rooms:
The living room is decorated in era with the home but has tv, vcr, dvd w/ tapes/discs for guests use. It also has a queen-sized sleep sofa, fireplace with enclosed electronic stove for those chilly New England winters.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service:
All rooms come with feather beds on top of traditional mattresses. Feathers can be removed if desired. All lines/towels, shampoo, hair conditioners and soaps included.
Utility room:
Novels to read/keep are provided along with an extensive in room dvd/vcr library.
Side porch is available for those who wish to have a meal at the B&B. Subway sandwich & pizza shop are within easy walking distance along with market and drug store.
Other:
Outside of breakfast times, the dining room can be used to set up your lap top computer. Wireless internet is on site. Yard, porches, and small second floor den with two seater couch and tv/dvd are for guests use.

Notes on accommodation: All rooms have windows which open for fresh air, along with airconditioners in the hot weather. Electronic, simulated fireplaces for atmosphere and heat when needed along with radiators/central heat.

A state swimming pool is w/in 10 minutes drive. A state park with fresh water swimming, picnicing and horseback riding w/in 15 minute drive. Fabulous salt water beaches w/in 45 min.
Accessibility
Rooms are located upstairs. There is a ramp to wheel ones suitcases into the house.
Outside
The house is situated on a triple wide lot with lawn, picnic tables/chairs, summer screen house, swings, sandbox, play toys, balls, pretty seasonal flower plantings and small vegetable garden, hammoch, shaded and sunny areas of yard at all times. Beautiful, colorful sugar maples in the fall.
