In June 2008, a surprising 21% of all visitors to Direct Holiday Bookings searched for a holiday retreat in sunny Spain.
Managing Director Andrew Gibson commented "There is no doubting the intention of holiday makers in June - give me sun and plenty of it".
"With Florida in second place (with 12% of visitors), I am sure that this awful British weather is making holiday makers seek out destinations with 'guaranteed' sun."
