Latest batch of site improvements released
This is the property owners release note for the code release 7th January 2009.
The following changes have been made:
- Owners emails are now delivered directly to your email. The email will appear to come from the person making the request, so you just hit reply to respond. A copy of all emails will remain in your Direct Holiday Bookings account should you ever need it.
- We now also include a link within the email to the property, making it easier for owners who have multiple properties with us.
- We have now created a section in your account admin called ‘Link back to us’. Here we supply 3 options and the code to allow you to link back to us from your website (if you have one). I would really appreciate if you would add a link. Don’t forget, you now have the ability for you to add your website to your advert.
- We have significantly improved the search functionality, making it much easier for your customers to find your property.
- We have made the process of contacting you even easier by adding the contact form directly on your advert page.
- We have added an article directory to the website. This is a place where you can write an article of around 500 words on a topic related to your property, area or country. You can then post the article and link it to your property, so anyone who reads the article is likely to view your holiday home and book it. The only limit is your imagination - click here to view our article directory.
The next batch of changes will be released w/c 19th January, and a full update will be provided here.
***UPDATE***
We have now moved the Owners Login button to the bottom bar of each page. Here’s a quick link to it as well:
Great ideal, a blog is the way forward. only problem your link to the wordpress theme Contept v2 goes to a page where you cant download the theme as they no longer handle it, it’s only a link away but you would be more professional if the link went to the correct address. best of luck. Trevor.
Some improvement to the site, but now I am unable to update my bookings calendar, or even log on to an owners area?
Roger,
The OWNERS LOGIN button has now moved to the bottom bar.
Here’s also a quick link to the page: Owner Login
If, once you logged in, you have any problem with the availability calender please get in touch via email and we will sort it for you.
Good spot, Trevor. We’ll get them sorted today. Many thanks.
Love the site. How come you guys can do it for free and other sites have to charge the small guy?
Hi from Dublin !
We’re delighted with the response from your well advertised website and the blog idea will increase site visitors.
We hope to do a big feature on your article directory for all parts of Dublin soon.
Brian.
I’m with Brian on this. I used to use a paid listings site but will not be renewing with them. I have had a great response from your site. Well done and keep up the good work.
Hi from Greece!
Your site seems improved, but I have trouble loggin in to my account. I am not recognised (?) If you fix that, I think everything will be perfect.
Thnaks, Yioula.
Good work! Thank you very much!
I always wanted to write in my site something like that. Can I take part of your post to my site?
Of course, I will add backlink?
Sincerely, Timur I. Alhimenkov
That is very useful thanks.
Thank you for this information! =)
