In the vicinity of the apartment there are many sports and cultural opportunities. For example, there is the possibility for kayaking and rafting on the Ourthe River; hiking; mountain biking; swimming; riding; and roping. Four kilometers away is the village of Wéris where you can admire the famous Huns' beds. Durbuy (7 km away), the smallest town in Belgium, with its famous castle and old cobblestone streets, has small shops offering local products. If you want to go on a cave trip, then visit the town of Hotton (on the Ourthe River),or, for larger caves, visit the town of Remouchamps. Here you can go by small boat deep into the earth. Every Sunday in Bomal you will find one of the largest markets in the Ardennes. Here you can also find a flea market. If you are in search of outdoor sports facilities then visit Sy or Durbuy. Here you can go mountaineering and abseiling - this, of course, under supervision. Mountain bike riding (/-rentals) is available in Barvaux (5 kilometers). There are several routes. Swimming: just 300 meters from the apartment in an indoor swimming pool.

This free-standing apartment is beautifully situated in the middle of the Belgian Ardennes, 50 minutes from Maastricht (by car). The house is located on the outskirts of the village of Heyd. From the door you can see the church. Heyd is built on the slope of a hill. Heyd is in the heart of the Ardennes, and with just 89 inhabitants it is a bit of a 'forgotten' village. Here you can relax in beautiful surroundings. From the door you can see many marked hiking trails.

Arrival time: from 17.00 to 19.00. Departure time: by 10.00 am. Other arrival and departure times: only by appointment. Groups of youth (under 25 years of age) can rent the apartment only by consent of the owner. In and around the apartment there should not be any open fires. After 22.00 pm noise pollution is not permitted. The TV has no cable, but you can watch DVDs.
