The hamlet of La Lande is set in the community of Bouteilles Saint Sebastien in the Green Perigord region. The countryside is arable and unspoilt. There is plenty of architectural interest in this region and this is combined with the rich history of Aquitaine and England stretching back to the Crusades and the Black and White Knights - Templars and Hospitallers. Roman remains can be found all over the Perigord and these together with monolithic churches and stunning architecture offer a vast amount to see and do. For those more interested in water pursuits there are river beaches, watersports areas and pools within easy reach. Two nine hole and one eighteen hole golf course are close by. Horse riding and canoing are also available.

Description:
La Petite Grange is a simple, well converted barn set in a small hamlet overlooking the Dordogne/Charente border close to the little town of Saint Severin. The countryside around the hamlet is open and hilly providing plenty of opportunity for walking, mountain biking and generally exploring the rich cultural heritage of SW France. A short trip by car gets you to several larger towns; Riberac, St Astier, Perigeux and Brantome. The coast is a couple of hours drive, but worth the effort to reach the well manicured beaches of Royan.

Spent a few days in this delightful holiday home - so well equipped and comfortable and full of character. Plenty of interesting historical sights in the vicinity and much more a short distance away. A delightful break from hectic life!

Spent Christmas in this charming barn conversion - everything you could possibly want plus more! Comfortable, well appointed, a great place for photography, walking, eating out and generally relaxing! We wil be back in the summer!
