Walking distance to the village Position: The village has a grocery store, bakery and café 300 yards from the house. There are good restaurants in the surrounding villages of Pepieux and Olanzac where there is a supermarket. Narbonne and Beziers are each just over half and hour away, as is Carcassonne. The Canal du Midi is about eight miles away at Homps and La Redoute from where you can walk or bicycle for miles along the tow path. Lots of vineyards locally for wine tasting. The house is in the foothills of the Black Mountains where there are wonderful walks. The closest beach is about 40 miles away.
