A short walk takes you to the roman bridge at the Tavira riverside where you will find an abundance of shops and wonderful restaurants. Hop on the tourist train or take a horse and carraige ride, both of which will take you on a tour of Tavira. Tavira is steeped in history with the remains of the Moorish castle is located just over 0.5km (about 550 yards) away from our apartment. Alternatively, next to the river, sit at one of the cafes in the main square in the sunshine and just watch the world go by. The main square also has a mini outdoor amphitheatre which has entertainment during the summer months. For the golf lovers there are is a very healthy choice of courses to be played, 5 courses which range from 5 to 15 minute short drives. Tavira beach is accessible by a small ferry boat or there are a number of wonderful beaches ranging from a 5-15 minute drive. Visit the amazing daily market which sells fresh fish, meat and local produce.

Bathrooms: Family sized bathroom with bath with adjustable shower over, wc, bidet, wash basin with vanity storage unit beneath, & large mirror
Kitchen: Large, modern, separate kitchen. Equipment includes integral fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob with extractor fan, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender, iron & ironing board. The kitchen also holds a small table and two stools should guests choose to dine in the kitchen rather than the living/dining room. The kitchen also provides access to another rear balcony.
Living Rooms: Large, spacious Living Dining Room (25 metres squared), lovely tiled floor, access to two patio doors which open out to a front balcony. There is also air conditioning, two three seater settees (one of which serves as a double bed settee if required), dining room table & chairs, gas fire, TV with satellite, ipod docking station, dvd player, cd/radio player.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service: Prices include the provision of bed linen and towels - maid service is included for the changing of these once a week. The final cleaning charge for the apartment is also included.
Other: *The apartment enjoys a wonderful large roof terrace (30 metres squared) with old town & sea views. There are sun loungers, parasol, tables, chairs & a barbeque. The apartment also has front & rear balconies.

*A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking. A receipt will be issued upon receipt of cleared funds/monies.
*The 50% balance is fully payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. A receipt will be issued upon receipt of cleared funds/monies.
*A deposit of £150 is payable 2 weeks prior to your arrival. The apartment will be checked by our representatives following your departure. Where there has been no damage suffered to the apartment your money will be returned to you up to 10 days after your departure date.

**The apartment will be available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. Wherever possible we will be flexible with these times however please note it is subject to both prior and future visitors.

Golf
Many golfers come to Tavira to take advantage of the five beautiful local courses. Benamor golf, Castro Marim, Colina Verde, Quinta de Cima and Quinta da Ria.

Monte Rei Golf & Country Club - This highly prestigious golf resort in the Eastern Algarve features two 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses. This is approximately 8km away from Tavira.

Beach
There are several beaches local to Tavira. If you are not driving then Ilha de Tavira is your best bet. This is on an island half a kilometre from Tavira, reached by the local ferry.

If you are driving then the local beaches at Cabanas, Monta Rota, Praia Verde and Santa Luzia are all amazing & well worth a visit. These are all only between 5-15 minutes drive.
