Travel
Arriving by air to Lisbon or Oporto is a hassle free way of getting here. Both Airports have highly competitive hire rates and both Airports put you on a motorway straight from the airport.
We always use holidayautos.co.uk to hire.Have yet to find someone cheaper and customer care is excellent.
Both airports are served by budget airlines. Porto by Ryanair, Lisbon by Easyjet.
From either airport it is an easy 180 Kilometres (just under a 100 miles) , but compared with the congested motorways of England it is "a joy" to drive on,and with the different scenery and "pit stops" it sets you up for the holiday experience.
Time should be no more than one and a half to two hours.Detailed instructions for the last few Kilometres will be given on booking.
We are quite happy to answer any specific questions you may have , all you have to do is ask.
Airport: Lisbon or Porto: 180 km
Railway: Tomar or Pombal: 27 km
