The mountain trails, bike routes and rock climbing zone are justly world-famous. If you´d like to walk mountain paths through pine forests, perhaps hearing the distant sound of goatbells as the shepherd makes his way from mountain spring to mountain spring, among camomile, thyme, rosemary and lavender, then the Sella hills are for you. Sella is quiet, rural and blessed with mountain springs that feed the village swimming pool in summer (icy water!) and supply pure drinking water all year round. Yet we´re only 20 minutes from the glorious beaches of LaVillajoiosa, a fishing port with a fleet of sixty boats and two kilometres of golden sands.

Alicante airport is less than an hour away, San Javier airport , at Murcia, is about two hours drive. There´s no public transport to Sella itself, so we recommend car hire. If you don´t want to drive, we can do airport pick-up.
Distances
Sella is half an hour from the two local beach resorts of Benidorm and Villajoiosa. Up the mountain behind us, weare 10 km (about 15 mins by car) from the Aitana Safari park and an equal distance in the opposite direction from the Terra Mitica theme park - white knuckle rides, gardens and rides based around Greek and Roman myth. There are two water parks and a zoo in Benidorm. Guadalest, the fascinating hill-top fortress and settlement is about 20 km away but the key feature of Sella is that the amazing landscape is right her on our dorstep!

Accessibility
In all honesty, Sella, and consequently ola Casita de las Nubes, presents quite a challenge if you have mobility problems. The whole village is on the side of a mountain and while the main square is only two hundred yards away, it´s a steep two hundred yards with steps and so not practical for the wheelchair user.
Outside
Sella has a lovely municipal pool just 5 minutes outside the village. There´s a barbecue and appropriate outdoor chairs, tables and asunshade.
