Fish auction every afternoon in the port, covered market. Typical fiestas: San Juan in June and Moors and Christians in July. The houses are often situated in the hills 5 - 15 km from the centre and a car is therefore necessary.
In hot dry periods water may be rationed. For arrivals by plane: airport Valencia-Manises (VLC) 120 km, Alicante-El Altet (ALC) 100 km. Overall, a great location to rent cheap holiday villas Spain.

(Garage is only for one car).
