Alsace is located in the North-Eastern area of France. Being 190 km in length and 50 km wide, Alsace is a moderately sized region. During the winter months Alsace is known to have very harsh weather making temperatures reach as low as 0˚c, approximately 80 days of frost during the winter months!! Although this seems like unsuitable holiday weather the summer has perfect wine growing weather demonstrating the levels of sunshine that Alsace receives, on average around 19˚c.
Once in Alsace getting around the region couldn’t be easier, you have the option to use the Motorway which will get you from north to south of Alsace in around 90 minutes, or try the beautiful country roads to see the magnificent countryside Alsace has to offer.
