Paleokastro on the hill above Voidokilia can also be seen from the gardens and there are many sites of historical and archaelogical interest nearby, like ancient Ithomi and Olympia. If you want to see more of how the everyday local lives, there is a small vegetable market in Pylos on Saturday mornings.
